A couple of months ago, I was flown to Miami to film a fun little video for CFDA/Vogue Eyewear 2011 Capsule Collection. Monica Botkier from Botkier designed her very first pair of sunglasses inspired by the vibrant city of Miami which will be sold exclusively at Sunglass Hut starting September 29th.
We went to all of these amazing kitschy yet hip places in Miami that inspired Monica to design these amazing sunglasses. Being a lover of all things gold, I couldn't help but fall in love with the sunglasses Monica designed. Hope you guys enjoy this fun video of us and fall in love with her sunglasses and Miami like I did!
By the way, Monica filmed the first part before ever meeting me so she accidentally mispronounced my name. My name is pronounced Ah-Mee, rhymes with Mommy.

Luckily I did pack a bathing suit which I was able to live in during the 3 days I was there.
I have one more final project that's due today and I'm a free woman! YAY well, at least until next semester starts.
Btw, I filmed a mini video for BEBE during the photo shoot which I'm a little embarrassed to share with you guys as I sound very stupid but enjoy the pretty clothes with the volume down! haha
I was originally going to post this video of my last month's NY trip a couple of days ago but You Tube blocked my audio and my lovely boyfriend had to dispute with Youtube that I wasn't making any profit out of the music used in the video so they finally approved the sound! YAY

Put together a bunch of random clips to make this video of BF making enchiladas for us. The song is “sweet time replay (feat. dahlia)” by capsule. Thanks for all of the encouraging comments, I'm trying my best to deal and get over this as soon as possible! It's kind of strange to get used to "taking it easy" and I can't wait until things are normal again but it's interesting to take a step back and take a look at what I was doing wrong by stressing myself out so much. It's unnatural for everything to go exactly as planned and I really need to learn how to stop beating myself up for it. I'm trying, I'm trying.
Since I'm feeling a little silly after being so pissy, here's a video of my Bulbasaur impression. Our obsession with Pokemon actually started with me showcasing my ability to imitate various Pokemon and we both agreed that Bulbasaur was my best one and Brent's favorite. Somehow we ended up with the Pikachu nicknames and it's various versions: Pika, Chu, Pichu, etc... we're turning into Pokemon, holy crap. It's reached the point where we'll literally have entire conversations consisting of Pika noises. PIKAAAAH!
It's too hot here! I've been living in tank tops and shorts every day. Between meeting up with these twolovely gals and hanging out with family, I haven't really done anything too spectacular during my time here. I'm pretty sure I've gained a few pounds and every attempt at exercise has been undermined by my inability to leave my air conditioned house. Oh well. Wore this out a few days ago while I desperately wished the shops in Old Town and Paseo were in an indoor mall. Walking around in the sun was impossible! I've been having a bit of a dry spell when it comes to shopping as well. Not really sure what I want anymore to be completely honest.
I explained this on my Twitter but in the end I found a pair of Jimmy Choo frames that were too good not to take home. They're super light while still being different from any other pair I've owned! Maybe I'll buy the Oliver Peoples glasses sometime in the near future. In case anyone was wondering, I would have gone with the tortoise shell frames! Thanks again for all the suggestions! And just for kicks, here is a super short clip of me repeating a certain Japanese phrase my friend Melissa taught me after coming back from a year abroad. There's more to it but it's way too embarrassing T_T
Finally, since I can't resist, here's a few photos from my last sushi adventure at my favorite sushi place, Ichima, in Pasadena. I need to get my film developed so hopefully there are a few gems in there! Fingers crossed! Expect a post tomorrow or Thursday.
ps. Is anyone else getting self conscious about how many times you use exclamation point in a post? Not gonna lie, I may actually talk like that. My voice can get pretty high pitched, right Lulu?
It's suddenly really chilly and, upon adding these knee high socks and shrunken blazer, I realized that I like this outfit much more than I like the first. Can you tell that I was stretching the last moments of daylight to take these? This is definitely a look I should save for the fall but screw that, I'll wear it during the summer if I want to. Speaking of summer... where is it? Why has it been only 60-70 degrees tops? Something tells me that when it hits 90+ degrees I'm going to regret having complained about this...
