Just incase it isn't obvious, I love black maxi skirts and love them even more when they are sheer

Since it's National Coffee Day, I'll start with these photos from Stumptown in Portland (which is actually attached to the Ace Hotel, next time I want to stay there). I had their coffee every day I was there, it was so addictive. I even brought home a bag of their Hair Bender blend for BF which we enjoyed this morning before driving over to work. Mikey and I came across this location when we wandered around downtown trying to figure out what to do and chatted with the super friendly barista who gave us helpful tips and ideas about where to go (try doing that at Ritual in SF where the workers are sour and rude). Their coffee is way better anyway.

Look at me, I'm wearing shorts! The Bay Area is currently experiencing a nasty heat wave and it seemed like Portland was feeling some of it too. I had been wearing pants on the flight but had to change into shorts when I couldn't take the heat.

Ooh..Look what I found. Forgotten pictures from awhile back. (Before my trip to NYC) Looking at these pictures makes me miss my new sunglasses I lost in New York and my personal 'photographer' aka Mr. Wesley Mason since he left us (Charcoal and I) to enjoy the beautiful Florida beach with his parents. booooo

For those who asked about my NYLA boots, I got them from DSW. I wore these almost everyday in New York and walked around in them for at least 6 hours a day, if not, more so I would say they are pretty comfortable to walk in.

I've been delaying this post far too long, forgive me, I've been busy. Last week I booked a last minute flight to the Pacific Northwest (!!!) and I am currently sitting in PDX waiting for my luggage. Which is late. Umm. Whatever, at least I'm here! These outfit photos are from last Sunday when Brent and I went out for ramen while the food ones are from the following day.

Had to include these photos, even if they're just shots where I'm testing out the lighting on BF. Those jeans are so old lol. I guess things do get better with age? Hah. I also wanted to thank everyone for your comments on that last post, it's nice to see that so many of you don't think of me that way and understand where I'm coming from. The internet is a tricky place but I'm dealing with it. Thanks for your support, guys.

Lunch at El Metate in the Mission. I'd been going for their tortas for about a year now but could never get BF to come with me. The thing with Mexican food in the Mission is that you're so used to having at least five or six restaurants in the same block serving so much of the same stuff that you never really bother to wander anywhere else. El Metate is a couple blocks east of BF's place so it's quite a walk but was totally worth it in the end. He had chicken enchiladas with green salsa and I had a torta with breaded chicken milanesa on dutch crunch (!!!!) and torilla soup. Soooooo good. And it's pretty close to Humphrey Slocombe too if you're in the area...

Anyway, since I didn't really get to vacation this summer I'm really glad I'm taking this last minute trip. I haven't been up here yet and I'll be in Portland until Sunday when we take Amtrak to Seattle to help my friend's sister move in. Plus Camille's going to show us around tomorrow which means awesome food and doooooooooooooonuts. Oh my gosh, DONUTS!

I re-bought my lipstick and I think it works great on days like today when I feel really sick and my face tells everybody so.
The skirt I'm wearing reminded me of this skirt from Burberry Prorsum. I think it's meant to rest on the hips but u know me, I either like short skirts or long skirts, no in between. I belted it in order to make it into a high-waisted skirt but maybe in the colder days I might wear it as it is.
Btw, I stole the bottom pictures from Nicole's blog since I'm wearing the same skirt and also because I miss my Nadia + Hassan and Vanessa. They need to hurry up and move to the States!

Lately I've been so busy with school and work I hadn't had a chance to take outfit pictures until today. I'm sorry if I haven't gotten back to you via email or twitter.
I'm probably not being original but this Fall I'm all about red and nude tones and of course, anything bohemian. My top is more of a merlot color in person and the skirt is more towards beige but you get the idea...

I stayed till pretty late on my last day at the Lincoln Center to make up for the lack of shows I had attended the previous days.
The last show I attended was Toni Francesc's show, whom to be honest, I never heard of until I got an invite. Oh, how I wished I had my camera with me that day because I was very lucky enough to sit front row for the first time so I actually got to see the dresses up close. I've never seen garments that well constructed in person. Beautifully well structured open back pastel dresses paired with chunky wooden heels (see my twitpic) and wooden accessories. All of these went so well with his Urban Forest theme.
If I was Rachel Zoe, I'd definitely put his dresses on a young actress who was attending their first premiere or red carpet event. hehe
Huge thanks to my lovely Christina and Vogue Italy for the images!

This dress was actually a longer dress that only came a few inches above the knee. It was an awkward length for an average height girl like me so with the help of fabric tape and an iron, I was able to shorten it.
I was going to share the lipstick color and brand I was wearing but I can't find that lipstick anywhere! I normally don't lose things easily but on this trip to New York I lost my brand new Michael Kors sunglasses, almost lost my handbag, and now lost my new favorite lipstick.
I'm going to have to go back to Sephora to buy the same lipstick again. I'm pretty sure it was from Make Up Forever, but I'll double check.
Btw, the first image is by Jason from Citizen Couture for Harpers Bazaar. (Thank you, Jason!)

Ride Me

The reason I slept in on my first day of NYFW was because I took a 10:30pm flight and arrived at 6:30am the next morning and waited for my friends who flew in an hour later to have coffee with them. I simply knocked out for a few hours when I got to the hotel therefore, missed a few shows. I am very grateful to have been invited to these shows and did not mean to offend anyone by any way.

Amongst the shows I was lucky enough to attend, Betsey Johnson's show was definitely the most fun and energizing.
The show started with bright candy colored clothes and a model skateboarding in high heels who fell right away (unfortunately, I saw this coming) followed by amazing black and white attire, wild hair which seemed easily achievable, and just pure great energy from all the models. The make up on the girls were absolutely lovely and I cannot get the amazingly sexy sheer black maxi dresses out of my head.
